Lake Gwelup Christian Church

Construction of the New Lake Gwelup Christian Church commenced in July 2016 and completed in September 2016 with the official grand opening taking place of Sunday 12th March 2017.

The project consists of a 400 person chapel, with a full immersion baptistery and state of the art sound system, spacious  Port Cochere and entry foyer, Youth and Children’s Facilities, café with commercial kitchen, Community Outreach programmes, function rooms, administrative offices and counseling rooms.

External features include a shaded kids playground, extensive verandahs and  landscaped areas, and a teen zone with a basketball court.

The new chapel auditorium is almost double the capacity of the existing church building and the new kitchen and café area is more than twice the size of the previous the facility that occupied the site in Gwelup since 1989.

The building represents an economical yet elegant design that is approachable, complements  the suburban setting and forms an integral part of the aged care and residential facility adjacent.

KPA designed and documented all of these buildings as one universal facility in order to be able to connect them together to form a unique synergy.
