Secret Harbour Shopping Centre

Secret Harbour Shopping Centre is located approximately one hour south of Perth in a relatively new beachside residential development.

It is bounded by Oasis Drive, Secret Harbour Road and Warnbro Sound Avenue, with space for further expansion in the future.

This project was the first stage of the development, based on a site master plan originally prepared by KPA. Stage 1 consisted of a Woolworths Supermarket of 3,800m2 and 14 Specialty Shops totalling 1,820m2. The Tavern, the design of which was not done by KPA, was not part of this development and was added later. The project is a steel framed building with concrete tilt panels and glazed shopfronts. The concrete panels have had decorative mouldings applied to help achieve its distinctive appearance, with a colour palette inspired by the local coastal environment.

This centre was one of the first designed by KPA involving the popular main street concept and when fully developed will contain a row of shops fronting Oasis Drive. After KPA had successfully obtained Development Approval for the project, construction was undertaken by the Doric Group on a Design and Construct basis and KPA became the Consulting Architects for this phase of the project.
